Our Story

Recently our world was rocked with a very serious cancer diagnosis for my wife. We lost count of the number of trips we made to Dartmouth's Norris Cotton Cancer Center all the while making incredible and memorable friends with fellow patients and staff.  We have a "cancer connection" with a strong understanding of what patients, caregivers, family, and friends go through.

Hence, a dream was placed in our hearts and Floating Grace was born.

Why Floating Grace?

After experiencing the tranquility and unbounded connection to the water for over 20 years as a licensed captain I felt others would benefit from this same feeling that being on water delivers.

Floating Grace is a way to experience a moment of peace. It's a way for us to give back to our friends and neighbors who seek an escape from the daily stresses of dealing with cancer. Some of our volunteers are cancer survivors themselves and can offer authentic hope and support as they have been there.

We hope you join us on our journey as we set a course of positive thoughts, hope, rejuvenation and grace.

There is nothing I can do to make God love me more.
There is nothing I can do to make God love me less. Grace.

Our Mission

We are blessed to have a very simple and direct mission statement: "To offer a respite from the daily stresses of dealing with cancer by offering quiet, peaceful and memorable lake cruises aboard Vermont's first 100% electric vessel at no cost to any of our guests."

We look to the future with great optimism. We see our dream growing by offering additional cruising opportunities including electric rental boats and cruises on surrounding lakes and ponds - all the while offering our guests hope, courage and peace.
